It finally happened. I am a college graduate; the first in my family actually. I made it through nursing school. I never thought I would be able to say these words- it seems like yesterday I was posting THIS.

It was a wonderful day. Zach and my parents were at the commencement ceremony where I walked in my BEAUTIFUL purple cap and gown. :) This is sarcasm by the way- I am NOT a fan of purple. It seemed appropriate though, after spending two years in an atrocious purple uniform. It was fun to be with my nursing friends and spend one last day with them, feeling very accomplished. I only got a few pictures and am hoping to get some more from other students.
After walking at graduation, my family took me to dinner. We went to Mandarin, which might be my VERY favorite restaurant. My whole family was there. As my parents came in they brought some gorgeous flowers. I have a picture on my mom's camera, but they were white stargazer lilies and white iris, which are two of my favorites. After we stuffed ourselves to the brim, we headed home and my parents surprised me with an overly generous graduation gift- a laptop! From start to finish, the day was perfect. The only thing standing between me and being a nurse is taking the NCLEX board exam, which I will do (hopefully) at the end of May.
That week We also got some great news that we would be able to move into a condo in Murray. We were thrilled that we would be able to live on our own, so we have been hard at work getting the condo the way we want it. Post and pictures of that to come. :)
