Nursing Career Map

For one of my final projects for school, I had to make a map of what I wanted my nursing career to look like. We could use our creativity and pretty much do whatever we wanted to. I decided to make a (very) small scrapbook. I was surprised that I liked how it turned out. I don't know if I get it back or not, so I decided to post it just in case.

This was my acceptance letter of getting into the nursing program.
This page represents the program. I really needed about 100 pages to represent the program but one would have to do. :)
This is the graduation page. Since this isn't until next Friday (YEA, one week!!), I don't have any pictures, but this is the patch that I wore on my scrubs.
I had to show what my dream job would look like. It says: Primary Children's Hospital, health/dental insurance, at least $21 an hour, full time hours, night or day shifts, maternity/vacation/sick leave. I'm obviously very picky. Not.
This shows my five year plan. It says: Move out, make at least $25/hr, work at Primary's, and have 2 kids.

And my ten year plan: Have 5 kids, be able to be a charge nurse (I have no desire to do administration- I would rather be told what to do at work), buy a house with my hard-earned money, and go back for my bachelor's degree.

I actually learned a lot about what I want for myself. Now if I can just pass the NCLEX and get a job!! :)
